Welcome to Joyce's Touch of Love Personal Care Home. I am LaChristy Reed, Ph.D. owner and operator of Joyce's Touch of Love Personal Care Home. Our main goal is to provide our members with a safe, loving, and caring environment that promotes and supports a better quality of life. Our members' needs are the most important to us, and we strive for excellence in our care.
Like many of you, our family has needed personal home care for our loved ones. Unfortunately, our options were very limited to nursing homes, which we found were understaffed and could not provide that personal touch of love, attention, and care our loved ones wanted and needed.
After realizing this is a significant problem for many families and not just our family, I made it a mission to ensure others would not experience the same hardship my family experienced in our time of need for my mother. Every family deserves to have accessible home care options to ensure their loved ones get the proper love and care they deserve.
Joyce's Touch of Love Personal care home has been established in memory and honor of our mother, Joyce Reed, a licensed nurse of more than 25 years dedicated to serving and helping the elderly and those in need. She opened her home to many seniors who did not have family and cared for them as her own family. Each of them became our family. Joyce established an outreach ministry with my father, the late Pastor Derriet Reed, and together, they dedicated their lives to serving the sick and shut-in, homeless, and those less fortunate. They operated a Non-profit Food Pantry, a Clothing Closet Program, and the Brown Bag Food Program and led New Beginnings Outreach Ministry together.
My mother lost her life due to unforeseen medical circumstances in 2022; still, her excitement and joy before her death, knowing I was opening a personal care home for seniors birthed by her medical care circumstances, resonated with me even after her death.
Her spirit drives my passion for this work, which is to ensure we meet your satisfaction in providing the care and service your loved ones deserve.
